from his private collection.
Harold Wind (1917 – 1986) studied at New York University and Pratt Insti
tute, but was largely self-taught. His work falls into the rare category of “Art Made by Engineers”. (He held several patents as a packaging engineer.) He painted mainly in watercolors and pastels and was a member of the American Watercolor Society, the Pastel Society of America, and the Salmagundi Club. He was a recipient of a gold medal from National Art League in 1980, and a Bronze medal from the Nassau County Museum Fine Art in 1985. He exhibited at the American Watercolor Society, Hudson Valley Art Association, Allied Artists of America, National Arts Club. Pastel Society of America
and Grand Central Galleries.
